VOLUNTEER HOME VISTORS

line

ESP is a home based family support programme:
arrow ESP volunteers, after training, are linked with a family and usually visit once a week for one to two hours per week.

arrow ESP volunteers undergo a national police check.

arrow ESP volunteers are not confined to office hours and are both flexible and creative in support they provide.

arrowESP volunteers are not ‘professional counsellors’, they provide support by being empathic and non-judgmental.

arrowESP volunteers are not domestic helpers and use their discretion when offering practical support.

arrowESP volunteers provide information and assist families in accessing relevant services and resources.

arrowESP volunteers can support you along the way to enjoying the role of parenting and reconnecting you with the idea you can hold in your heart.

arrowESP volunteers are available in most areas

Commitment, Care, Competence and Compassion:  Volunteers are the backbone of ESP and continue to provide an invaluable service to the community through their time and dedication. With a small salaried staff behind them, volunteers remain the ’front line’ of ESP’s service provision.  It is through their tireless effort that we are able to deliver such a high standard.  The task of listening, caring and supporting families through difficult times is one that our home support volunteers do with open hearts and no remuneration.  The human value of the overall contribution is inestimable
